On the weekend before your camp, parents are required to read our NEW 2026 Student Behavior Contract with their child. This printable PDF also contains a list of what parents need to pack for their child.
Digital devices such as Apple Watches or any cellular devices must be deeply kept inside the child’s backpack, and NOT used during camp or in the parking lot. (AirTags are ok.) If children need to contact you, they may ask Camp Director to call you directly on the camp phone.
Ben will text parents on approximately the Wednesday before your first camp day.
Please read that text carefully to confirm
the Shuttle time and location that you signed-up for.
PLEASE do not arrive by car directly to the camp,
unless pre-arranged with the Camp Director.
Hwy-17 Southbound MILE MARKER 0.4 (Zero-point-four).
For driving directions please use Google (not Apple maps): simply Google “1 Los Gatos Farms Drive”.
Or if this is your first trip to the farm please CLICK HERE to see our excellent Location Page.
Safety Note: Parents are responsible for allowing their children to possess and play with the items that they make at camp. Please look closely at what your kids bring home!
TRAFFIC SAFETY:
Please note the One-Way traffic signs. They are very important.
Please immediately and safely leave the camp parking lot (and please don’t park in our Hwy-17 turnout). Other groups will arrive soon! Sorry that we cannot offer longer parking. Please text Ben if you need anything.
Parents may not park and tour the camp, nor visit the farm animals.
When you re-enter Hwy 17, it is very important to not block the incoming driveway traffic.
Please stay to the far right. To return to Los Gatos and beyond, the SUMMIT ROAD OVERPASS is just 300 yards up the Highway. Just turn right, and enjoy.
Please call the Camp Office to tell us if you need mechanical car help, or if the driveway is blocked.
408-898-8177 (We have gas cans and jumper cables). If Hwy-17 traffic is slow, please don’t worry. All of the other parents will be equally late together.
Important Details:
Lunch: The Big Kids, Graduates, and Alumni will have fun using our campfire BBQ to warm-up the lunch that you pack for them. No nuts. No peanut butter. Only full-cooked meat, like hotdogs or chicken nuggets. Please pack a large lunch and two snacks for your child, and seriously 2 or 3 water bottles, (kids in the forest often spill their water bottle, so having just one large bottle can end up leaving your child dry). See your Behavior Contract for more details on what your child needs.
Please have your children wear their TWA camp shirts from last year, if they fit. TWA Camp shirts are required each day for the Big Kid, Graduate, and Alumni Camps. All kids who need a camp shirt will get one free shirt on their first camp day of the summer, or more shirts if registered for more weeks (and yet more if extra shirts were purchased). You will need several! Parents may text Ben to purchase additional camp shirts during afternoon pick-up time, ($10 per shirt). Logos that are not owned by TWA will greatly complicate our videos. (And students who wear their TWA shirt will qualify for earning Tribal Coins during Maker Project Interviews).
NO MEDICATIONS can be in STUDENT BACKPACKS.
Instead, medications may be packed by parents in a ziplock, with a doctor’s note on usage, and the child's full name. Please give this ziplock to the TWA Parking Lot Staff and make sure that you see it go into an orange box. The note should also say if parents want us to keep the medication at the camp overnight for the entire week, or for the whole summer, (simply write a “RETURN to parent DATE”, which can be your last day of the summer for multi-week families). Our locked medicine chest is not refrigerated, but it stays under 78 degrees.
Please know what Ticks look like: (even if ticks are usually rare at our summer camps).

Parents should spray their own kids every morning at home with their own Picaridin repellent (or DEET repellent). And if a parent didn’t apply or pack repellent, our staff (as mentioned on your camp registration waiver) will lightly spray campers with non-chemical “Nantucket Brand" Organic Insect Repellent.
Be prepared for cold mountain days and possible rain or hail, (bring a jacket and layers all year). Occasionally we get sudden cold mist and winds from fast moving ocean clouds. Parents must dress their children for these weather conditions every day before kids leave your car.
